Can you Refill a Disposable Vape?

The days of mods and kits are slowly dwindling down (according to recent data) and disposable vape pods are taking the world by storm. With so many vapers switching to disposable vapes, people are also looking to save money in the long run, which is why vapers want to know if they can refill their disposable vapes.

Can you Refill a Disposable Vape?

You can refill a disposable vape on most devices but you really should not try it. Although people are trying to make sure their device goes a long way to help them save money, it's also best to use precaution. These types of devices are generally not designed to be refilled. It's meant to be used until the battery dies or the eJuice runs out.

We will outline the steps of refilling a disposable but remember that we do not encourage this. We do not recommend you opening your disposable vape at all. We will explain why later.

Step 1: Open the Vape Pen

Use a screwdriver to pop the cap open or use pliers to grab the mouthpiece and twist it open. Be careful on this part because there may be wires connect to the bottom of the mouthpiece. These connect to the battery.

Step 2: Refill the Disposable Vape with eLiquid

Take your favorite bottle of eJuice and carefully fill it onto the cotton of your vape. You have to be very methodical on the amount you fill up. If you fill up too much, it will ooze out the cotton and leak onto the battery. This can be very dangerous. If you refill too little, you will be getting dry hits.

Step 3: Close the Mouthpiece Back

This part may be tricky because if you broke any parts of your vape while taking off the mouthpiece, it's going to be super difficult getting this back into place. If you cannot get your mouthpiece back on, it's time to throw your vape away and buy a new one.

Should You Refill a Disposable Vape?

Definitely, 100% No. Do not refill your disposable vape. Although we're creating an article around this, we are not trying to encourage this. There are ways this can go bad and it most likely will. DO NOT REFILL YOUR DISPOSABLE VAPE!

Pros:

Lasts Longer

One of the only pros about refilling your disposable vape is that it will last longer. If you are looking for a disposable that lasts long, find one with a higher puff count. This will ensure you get the most bang for your buck.

Cons:

Can Mess Up Your Device and Auto Fire

One of the issues with disposables is auto firing. This can happen for a few reasons but it mostly happens if there is eLiquid leaking onto the battery. This can cause it to short circuit too.

Multiple Flavors Mixed

Vapes are supposed to taste good but when you mix multiple flavors together, sometimes you will get something you were not expecting. Also not every juice is made the same. While some can have a balance of VG and PG, others can be more viscous. This can make one flavor drip to the bottom of the cotton while the other flavor stays on top.

Open Pod Systems vs Disposable Vapes?

If you're looking to refill your device and not spend so much on buying new disposable vapes, open systems are the way to go. A pod device is usually smaller than disposable and lets you refill it as much as you want. The only thing you will need to replace is the coil every few weeks, depending on your usage. You can still use nic salts in your pod device like you would in your disposable.
