When to Replace Coils and Pods
- Coils: replace when the flavor turns muted or burnt, or vapor drops off. For most vapers that’s every one to two weeks; sweet e-liquids wear coils out faster.
- Pods: replace if the pod leaks, the seal looks worn, or — for pods with a built-in coil — when the flavor fades.
- Glass: replace immediately if it’s cracked or chipped. Damaged glass can leak or break further.
Priming a new coil: drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton, fill the pod or tank, and wait five to ten minutes before vaping. Skipping this is the most common cause of a burnt first puff.
