I was looking for a budget friendly device that actually worked. EIGHTVAPE came through for me with the VOOPOO VINCI Spark100 Mod in Silver.
This device is a bit heavy compared to others I have, BUT it is all metal cased and such a better feel of strength in the hand. I have 2 other brands that are plastic case and the glue joints have separated at the area of the springs that holds the battery. The VOOPOO VINCI Spark100 Mod is great quality and built like a tank.
Letâs start with the good stuff, because thereâs a lot! The #1 thing I look for in a mod (aside from the obvious reliability factor, which is present here) is a magnetic battery door.
Eventually the hinges on other types of battery doors will fail, and your batteries are going to fall out. Itâs honestly surprising more companies donât do magnet covers, but whatever.
This mod works great with my GeekVape Zeus tank, and it doesnât look too big or weird on this smaller mod. I havenât had any issues with atomizer rating, and like most newer mods, you can update the firmwareâ personally, Iâve never really bothered with that stuff but to each their own!
Power seems consistent so far with one exception. Youâll need to âwake upâ the mod by clicking the fire button quickly, then youâre good to go. Also only needing one 18500 battery is pretty cool, but it contributes to some of the âbad.â
Since thereâs just one battery, conserving its power can be challenging, especially if youâre out and about. I can get 75-100 puffs on a fully charged battery, but thatâs when Iâm only vaping at 23-30 watts. As much as I try to avoid this, I often end up charging the battery via the modâs bypass.
The screen animations and side panel sparkling lights are beyond cool. Iâm obsessed with the UFO ð Naturally these features gobble up battery power, but you can easily turn those off to conserve energy.
Additional notes: Love the sliding âlockâ function, but I do wish you could lock the adjustment keys while still being able to use the fire button. (Maybe one day!) The menus are incredibly easy to navigate and include a âclear puffâ option if you like to use the puff counter.
Itâs got three modes: Smart, RBA and Eco. Because I prefer DtL hits at a lower wattage, the Smart option isnât particularly useful for me, but Iâm sure lots of others love the feature. Iâve been using RBA because it allows the easiest configuration and wonât triple the set wattage while youâre not paying attention. I did try using Eco for a bit, mainly to conserve battery life, but I really couldnât tell the difference between Eco and RBA. YMMV
TL;DR This is a fantastic little mod! Itâs reasonably priced, reliable, and pretty darn cool. I hope the next iteration uses two batteries!
