What Are Vape Tanks & Atomizers?

Vape tanks and atomizers are the two main components of a vape device. In the tank, you store your e-liquid while the atomizer heats up and vaporizes it to create an inhalable vapor.

The type of vaporizers you use will depend on your e-cigarette- and there are many different types! For example, if you're using a box mod or mechanical mod (a device that doesn't rely on electronics), then chances are good that it has its own built-in tank. However, if your electronic cigarette has a removable battery like most modern cigalikes do today, it probably uses pre-filled cartridges or rebuildable dripping atomizers (RDAs).

There are also sub-ohm tanks available for those who want more vapor production without having to deal with rebuilding coils themselves; these come with prebuilt coils made specifically for sub-ohm vaping so all users need do is fill them with ejuice before starting their sessions

Types of Vape Tanks

Sub-Ohm Tanks

Sub-ohm tanks are devices with a coil resistance of less than 1 ohm. The main advantage of sub-ohm vaping is that it allows you to use higher wattages, which in turn results in more vapor production and better flavor.
Many types of sub-ohm tanks are available on the market today, but they all fall into one of two categories: rebuildable and prebuilt. Prebuilt coils are preinstalled onto the base of your tank before purchase, while rebuildables require assembly by yourself or with help from another person (such as an experienced vaper).

Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) Tanks

These tanks are designed to mimic the inhalation style of smoking cigarettes, where the vapor is first drawn into the mouth and then inhaled into the lungs. MTL tanks usually have tighter airflow and higher resistance coils, providing a similar throat hit to smoking.

Rebuildable Atomizers(RBA)

Rebuildable atomizers are vape tanks that allow you to build your own coils, which can then be used with a mod or battery. They're very popular among vapers who like to customize their vaping experience and try new things.

  1. Rebuildable Tank Atomizers (RTAs): RTAs allow vapers to build their own coils according to their preferences. They combine the customizability of rebuildable dripping atomizers with the convenience of a tank that holds e-liquid. This type is popular among advanced vapers who prefer to tailor their vaping experience.

  2. Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizers (RDTAs): RDTAs offer the best of both worlds between dripping and tank systems. They typically have a deck where vapers can build their own coils, but also feature a tank to hold e-liquid. This allows for both the fresh flavor of dripping and the convenience of a tank.

Disposable Vape Tanks

These are pre-filled and non-rechargeable tanks designed for convenience and ease of use. Once the e-liquid is depleted, the entire tank is discarded. These are great for beginners or for those who do not want to refill or maintain their device. FreeMax Gemm disposable tank is an great example.

Vape Tank Maintenance

  • Cleaning and replacing the coil
  • Replacing the wick
  • Replacing the tank

Vape Tank Safety

Vape tanks are one of the most popular ways to vape. They come in all shapes and sizes, from simple single-coil setups to complex rebuildable atomizers. But no matter what type of tank you're using, everyone should follow some important safety guidelines.

  • Battery Safety: Always use batteries that have been approved for vaping by a reputable manufacturer like Sony or Samsung--you can find these on our website! Never use non-certified batteries because they could be dangerous and explode if mishandled.

  • Proper Storage and Handling: The best way to store your e-liquid is in an airtight container away from direct sunlight or heat sources like lamps and hot water pipes; this helps prevent oxidation from occurring too quickly within the e-liquid itself which could make it taste weird after awhile.

  • Avoiding Leaks: Tanks usually come with a 510 connection so they're compatible with most mods out there today, but sometimes leaks happen anyway due to improper maintenance like not cleaning off the old residue before refilling them again (which often happens since most people don't know how long those things last).
